Terms of Purchase

Introduction

These Terms of Purchase set out how you (the User) can make purchases from Lauren Leyva in regard to social media consulting or professional coaching. These terms do not apply to work in relation to content creation, brand ambassadorship or work tied to Lauren Leyva’s social media content. Please read them carefully.

Different terms apply depending on whether you are purchasing a workshop, speaking activation, standard coaching programme or bespoke coaching programme (including tailored project coaching). You may need to scroll down this page to find the relevant section. 

We pride ourselves in providing a high level of customer service and ensuring that you are clear in respect of all of your rights relating to your purchase. Please get in touch before you make your purchase if you have any questions. In proceeding with your purchase, either via our website or via direct payment for bespoke services, you are agreeing to accept these terms in full without variation.

On purchase of a Digital Download you will be provided with instant access to the legal template or the course material.  At the point of purchase, you are confirming your express consent to receiving the access to the template immediately. In agreeing to be granted access at the point of purchase you will lose your right to cancel your purchase and your right to a refund if you change your mind. We understand that sometimes you may select the wrong product by mistake. If so, please get in touch and we will support you to transfer the value of your purchase to the correct product.

Digital Download content is to be used as generic guidance based on a personal experience. You accept and understand that no guarantees are made through use of this website or its products.

Purchase Terms for Digital Downloads

You can find the details relating to each specific digital download on the sales page at the point of purchase.

When you buy a digital download, you obtain instant access to the content. You will receive the digital download as a PDF document. You can download and save the documents to your device. As you receive this file instantly you will not be entitled to receive a refund so do check that you are purchasing the correct product or service to meet your needs.

Should you contact us via social media or email before you make a purchase we will do our best to support you with the template which may best suit your needs. We make no guarantee that the digital download we recommend is suitable for you or your business.

Please be advised that we reserve all rights to our intellectual property for both our standard and bespoke products and services. This means that whilst you are free to use the download digitally or print out a copy for personal use, you are not permitted to copy, distribute, adapt, edit or share any of our products with third parties.

Should you have any problems with downloading your file or be unable to access the download please email us.

Should you consider that you have grounds to obtain a refund which are not set out above you should email thestarvingstudentfood@gmail.com to set out your refund request.

All refunds are provided in accordance with your statutory rights.

 

Purchase Terms for Social Media Consulting & Professional Coaching

When we provide any services to you such as social media consulting or coaching, this shall be delivered as a consultant. The scope of work and additional details shall be set out before requiring payment. We make no guarantee that the services will achieve specific results or that the services will be suitable for you or your business. Some details, such as meeting scheduling may be discussed after the purchase to allow for logistical coordination.

We will confirm our fees in writing in advance. Where possible we will provide a fixed fee for our work so that you have clarity and certainty on the costs. For some longer projects or bespoke projects and where we work with you on an ongoing basis, we may charge a retainer or charge you for a block of hours on account.

In all circumstances, we do not start preparatory work until payment has been made by you. In most circumstances, we require 10-14 days from the date of payment to complete preparatory work. In some circumstances, we may require longer and we will confirm the project timescales with you for your bespoke project in advance of you making your purchase.

We will provide you with an indication of the completion timescales for our work. This is an estimate and we make no guarantees as to dates for deliverables. In some circumstances, your feedback will be required, please ensure that you provide feedback promptly. Failure to provide feedback in a timely manner may result in delays, where there is a break in communication of over 28 days we reserve the right to charge a refresher fee. 

From time to time, it may be that we will need to extend timescales for delivery and we if need to do so we will contact you immediately to discuss. 

If the services (including preparatory work) are to be completed within 14 days of purchase, by purchasing you will lose your right to cancel your purchase and your right to a refund if you change your mind.

If the services (including preparatory work) are to commence within 14 days of purchase, should you change your mind about proceeding with the services within the first 14 days from purchase, you shall be released from the agreement and a refund provided, subject to the following: In the event that some services such as coaching sessions, research or preparatory work has already taken place within the first 14 days following purchase, you are still entitled to request a refund but the value of the completed services (such as coaching sessions, research or preparatory work) shall be deducted from the amount paid. The value of this work is valued at £150 (GBP) per hour.

 

Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any claim or dispute arising in relation to any purchase will be governed by English law. You and we agree that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such claim or dispute.
